Yargyarg

Random updates! Nothing important going on!

Behold, our mobile graphics class work! (HUD and character models not by me.)

So yeah. Schools out. Summer project supposed to start. A bit worried about the story/idea/setting we picked. Hard to fit well under 5 minutes... hard to finish in two months. And a while ago I was still thinking I could get lots of non-school related stuff done over the summer... sigh.

Probably gonna have to start reading some 3d tutorials on optimizing stuff so it doesn't take a million years to render. Other personal goal is to learn particles and effects all good so I can do random action clips later on.

I guess I'll keep posting in this blog on the progress since I have nothing else to show. Look! First concepts!

  1. Will we be able to play this when it's done?

  2. Very out of the topic, but have you ever used Paint.Net? It's a free image editing program, just like Gimp. Yeah, I know you tried Gimp (I don't like it either), but this one is diferent.

In my case, since I don't do very complex things, works like a charm, so, I'm asking this because I want to know a professional opinion about Paint.Net.
It lacks a few things that Photoshop has, but I think is more user friendly (especialy for begginers) than PS and Gimp.

Good work, as usual, do something crappy for a change ;)

  4. Two things.
First, where do you go to school?
Second, someone took your stuff, not sure if you know about it: http://www.demoty.com/main.php/v/Other/Other_186.jpg.html

  5. 1 anon: It's not an actual game. Just graphics for mobiel graphics class.
2 Mauro: No, might give that paint.net thing a try later on. (I'm not really a professional though)
3 Martian: Probably some subconcious connection there. I was actually looking at penny arcade for really loose reference.

second: You see that stuff pretty much all over.
